How to Install Windows 11?

The Windows 11 operating system was released by Microsoft on October 5, 2021. This new operating system promises to bring a number of new features and improvements over its predecessor, Windows 10

Installing from Windows Update:

Windows 11 is the latest version of Microsoft’s operating system, and it’s a big update from Windows 10. If you’re not sure how to install it, don’t worry – we’ll walk you through the process step by step.

  • Firstly, you will need to check the Settings menu for any updates that have been released. In order to do this, you will need to go to Start > Settings > Update & security. After you are on the “Check for updates” page, click the “Check for updates” button.

  • A list of Windows 11 updates will appear if any are available. When the “Download and install” button appears, click on it and agree to the terms.

  • The installation process will start and might take a while, so be patient. Once it’s done, you’ll be taken to the Windows 11 desktop. And that’s it! You’ve successfully installed Windows 11.

Using the Installation Assistant to Install:

  • First, you’ll need to download the Windows 11 installation tool. You can do this by clicking the blue Download now button at the top of Microsoft’s Windows 11 download website.
  • When the tool has completed downloading, launch it, and when prompted, click Yes to continue. These steps will guide you through the process of downloading and installing Windows 11. Depending on how fast your connection is, it may take a while for this process to complete. It is possible that you will be prompted to accept Microsoft’s terms and conditions.
  • After these phases are complete, click Restart now. An alert will appear to let you know you’re about to sign out. Please wait while Windows 11 is installed and your PC is restarted.
  • As Windows 11 is being installed, you will be able to see a progress bar on your screen. As part of the installation process, your PC will need to restart several times. As soon as Windows 11 has been completed, you’ll be able to use it!

Installing Through the Windows Insider Program:

Joining the Windows Insider Program is easy.

  • First, you’ll need to link your Microsoft Account in Settings > Update & security > Windows Insider Program. Once you’ve done that, you can choose which channel you want to join. There are three channels: dev, beta, and release preview.
  • If you want to experience the latest and greatest versions of Windows 11, you’ll want to join the dev channel. This is where new features are released on a weekly basis. However, if you’d prefer a more stable experience, you can join the beta channel. Beta releases only happen every few weeks, but they’re usually more stable than dev releases.
  • Once you’ve chosen a channel, confirm your choice and sign in with a Microsoft Account. After your PC restarts, go to Settings > Update & Security and you should see Windows 11 available for download. Click the “Download and install” button and wait for the OS to install.
